GROUP EXERCISE DESCRIPTIONS
GENTLE TAI CHI- Gentle, soft, rounded movements performed slowly with
precision. This BEGINNER'S class is a powerful key to balance, flexibility,
stress reduction, and increased focus, concentration, & circulation.
Consistent attendance is essential for progression. "Meditation in Movement".
NUMBERS- This class is the ultimate workout because it includes every
aspect of fitness. Boredom will not be a factor in this class. Each class is
based on a number system and each class will be different every week. Classes
will include: Bosu, Physioball, Cardio, Resistance Training, Yoga, Abs &
Stretching. Confuse your muscles and avoid plateaus!!
ZUMBA- Get ready for a party! This class combines international dance and
fitness for an energizing cardio workout. Fast and slow rhythms of dance such as
the Salsa, Merengue, and the Cumbia are combined to tone your entire body and
burn fat. This class will exhilarate you in one hour while burning calories,
engaging your core, building muscle, and learning awe-inspiring dance moves that
will engage you in fitness for life. Zumba is meant for all levels.
PILATES WITH PROPS- This class focuses on improvement of core
stabilization, postural awareness, increase muscle flexibility & joint
mobility and reduced muscle imbalances. This class utilizes balls, rings, and
therabands to modify or advance exercises. This is a combination of beginner
and intermediate levels.
MAT PILATES- This class focuses on the core postural muscles that help
keep the body balanced and provide essential support for the spine. This
Pilates method known as "neutral spine" or "modern" Pilates , which
complements the natural curvature of the lumbar spine throughout the entire
series of exercises in a way that emphasizes control and precision of
movement. Through the regular practice of Pilates, the student can correct
postural imbalances, strengthen and lengthen the torso, and flatten the tummy.
VINYASA YOGA- A style of yoga characterized by a dynamic, flowing
sequence coordinated with the movements of the breath. This class is created
in a series of stages or waves, with each wave building upon the one before it
and acting as an elementary reflection of the wave to follow, developing into
a progressive sequence that unfolds with intelligence and harmony. In class
students will challenge the body and the mind and increase strength and
flexibility on both the physical & mental planes through the practice of
postures and breathing techniques, mediation and chant.
FITNESS YOGA - This class is demystified, contemporary yoga for
mainstream fitness enthusiasts who want a workout as well as all the benefits of
traditional yoga. Focus is on improving endurance, flexibility, balance, as well
as relaxation and deep breathing.
IRON YOGA- A challenging intense full-body workout utilizing "dumbells"
for upper body weight training exercises while performing a series of power yoga
poses for the core and lower body. Can be practiced by all levels. Light to
moderate weight dumbbells of 2-5 pounds is recommended. The emphasis is not on
the amount of weight - but on the power of the "mind-muscle" and "mind-body-spirit" connection
- shaping, toning & sculpting the full body.
CORE- This class is all about the core! Toning and strengthening
muscles in the abdominal and low-back region, PLUS glute work. Each class
focuses on breathing, technique and is modified for a variety of upper and
lower back problems.
GET ON THE BALL- An intense combination of aerobics and weight training
with the use of physio & bosu balls. This workout has a strong emphasis on core
work, increasing endurance, challenging balance, improving flexibility while
strengthening and toning the entire body. All levels. What are you waiting for?

AMP-Amp up you're your workout with a high intensity boot-camp style
class, which mixes Cardio and Strength Training for a full body workout.
Designed to challenge every one from beginner to fitness buff!
FOREVER FIT- A 45-minute, low-impact aerobic workout for those who need to get
in shape. All the exercises are upright and you can set your own pace during
the routine. The goal is to increase endurance, strength, flexibility, balance
and coordination.
STEP & TONE- This class combines athletic and/or dance based aerobic
moves using an adjustable platform step for diverse levels of intensity to fun,
motivational music. This aerobic workout includes resistance training in order
to burn more calories and better tone the body.
X-BIKING- Enhance your regular group cycling class with new Trixter
X-Biking. Each interval-based ride can be tailored to your training needs.
Whether you're just starting out, re-gaining your fitness level or trying to
stay on top of your conditioning, X-Biking delivers! Tickets can be retrieved
30 minutes prior to class. If you are new to cycling please bring water and a
towel and arrive early for a brief instructor orientation.
INTRO TO X-BIKING- This class is geared toward exploring X-Biking. Please
come early (5-10min) the class includes instructional information, bike safety,
target heart rate and perceived exertion. There will be a 10-minute warm-up,
25-minute workout and 10-minute cool-down. Must Sign-Up for this class in
advance. This class is only offered once a month. See front desk for more
details.
